2024, the third edition for Artistic Director Jazmin Chiodi, saw the Dublin Dance Festival at it’s highest profile yet. Showcasing pivotal artistic voices from home and abroad that bring diverse identities, beliefs, histories and perspectives. The spotlight is on the intense physicality, energy and empowerment evident in the shows.
Each year, we have the privilege of working with incredibly powerful and moving imagery. Crafting a campaign to highlight and celebrate this was both an exciting and rewarding challenge.
The principle of simplicity, and spotlighting the dancers, was maintained throughout the digital and print promotional content for the various performances.
For this identity, we focused on the individual rather than the collective, employing an image-led approach to the campaign that allowed the dancer to take centre stage.
The carefully selected images demonstrate energy and movement, with consistent colours and expressive typography ensuring a harmonious flow throughout the campaign. For the Dublin Dance Festival branding, we created a versatile mark inspired by festival tickets. This mark could be applied to all festival communications, adding a burst of colour and maintaining consistency across the campaign.
