Bigger Brighter Bolder

Having established an overall approach in 2015, working on Showcase the following year allowed us to develop our story and create more impact. While 2015 was about differentiating Irish design and craft through it’s strong relationship with nature, this year we celebrated the growing confidence of the sector.

We built on the strong photography of 2015 with bolder colours while reducing the main images to simpler compositions and more refined use of nature.

The promotional brochure was one of many print pieces produced. The format echoed the materials featured in the hero image. It had a soft textured cover with a gloss foil and a contrasting high-gloss varnish over images.

We carried the approach through to the edit areas. This provided impact by creating a striking backdrop for product while also standing out from exhibitors stands.

Guiding the long-term conversation

As with any future focussed project that has multiple touch-points and deliverables we began by establishing core pillars to ensure all work was cohesive year on year. This meant all stakeholders, team members, content development and design work stemmed from one informed place.
